Mitchell's four-pillar system for your best year: removal, motion, stacking, and persistence, with practical steps for habits, focus, and consistency.
Key takeaways
- Write down your top five uses of time and discretionary money from the last 14 days, then ask whether each one makes next year better.
- Turn off every notification except from real people who might have an emergency, and keep your phone in another room during focused work.
- Pick one primary focus for the next 90 days, because trying to improve everything at once usually means improving nothing.
- Filter friendships by asking whether people pull you forward or keep you comfortable, and simply spend less time with those who drain you.
- Start before you feel ready, since action creates confidence, then persist through boredom with daily reps and patience for results.

This is going to hurt for you to hear, but it will completely shift your progress over the next year of your life. If you want 2026 to be the best year of your life, you do not need more motivation. You need a system. Motivation is a weather pattern. It comes and goes and it's unpredictable, especially if you live here in New England.
A system is a set of rails. And the rails still work when you're tired, when you're busy, when you're unconfident, when you're stressed, and when life throws a random Tuesday at your face and says, "Good luck." If you can build rails, you can build a life. So, in this video, I'm going to give you a complete operating system for making [music] 2026 the best year of your life. Not just in business, but in your body, your relationships, your mindset, your money, and your peace.
It's going to be simple enough to remember and deep enough to actually change you. But definitely take notes. And I'm also going to give you the exact planner that goes with this totally for free. But you have to do one thing so I know you actually want it. Comment the word pillar down below and I'll send you the fourpillar life planner for free that will help you follow along.
And yes, I mean totally free because I want you to use it, not just save it for later, not start it in January. I want you to start right now. Now, let's set the frame. The reason most people don't have the year they say they want is not because they don't want it badly enough. It's because their calendar, their spending, and their environment are secretly voting for a different life.
You can say whatever you want in your head, but your habits are casting ballots every single day. And at the end of the year, the ballots get counted. You get the life you actually practiced. So if you want a different 2026, you have to change what you repeatedly do. And the only way to do that consistently is to have a system that makes the right [music] actions easier and the wrong actions harder.
The system I'm going to walk you through has four pillars. Here they are. And I want you to lock these into your brain like four cornerstones. Pillar one is [music] removal, which means we eliminate the distractions and the energy leaks that are stealing your future in tiny invisible amounts. Pillar two is motion, [music] which means we start now before we feel ready, before it's perfect, before we have confidence.
Because action creates confidence. Confidence does not come first. Pillar three is stacking, [music] which means we build feedback loops and skill stacks so you actually get better week after week instead of repeating the same year 12 times over. And pillar four is persistence, [music] which means you learn how to keep going when the novelty wears off, when it gets hard, when you get bored, when you don't see the results yet. Because the real winners in life aren't the most motivated.
They're the ones who refuse to stop. And I want to make a deal with you right now. I'm going to go super in-depth. I'm going to give you the full playbook. I'm going to give you the mindset shifts and the tactical steps.
But you have to meet me halfway, okay? And meeting me halfway is very simple. Do not watch this like it's a movie, okay? Watch it like it's a manual for the next version of you. At minimum, I want you to decide one thing you're going to change today.
[music] Not next week, not on January 1st, but today. Okay? Because the only version of you who can actually create a better life is the current you. Future you is a fantasy unless current you moves. And if you're serious about making 2026 different, comment pillar so I can send you the planner.
Then in the same comment, tell me which pillar you need the most, removal, motion, stacking, or persistence because I read those and it helps me tailor future videos. It also forces you to be honest about what's holding you back. >> And one more thing before we dive in, because I want to call out the biggest lie people tell themselves every December. I'll lock in next year. I get it.
It feels clean. It feels organized. It feels like you're turning a page. But here's the problem. [music] If you need a special date to become disciplined, January 1st, you will always need special dates.
[music] Life does not hand out motivation on a schedule. Okay? So, we are not waiting for [music] permission. We are not negotiating with reality. And we are not building a 2026 based on vibes.
Okay? We are building it on structure. And in a second, I'm going to start with pillar one, which is removal. And I'm going to show you how to identify the handful of things that are draining your time, your attention, your energy, and your confidence. And how to delete them without trying to become a monk.
But before that, let's do the quick three-step setup with me. Like the video, subscribe so you don't miss the rest of the series, and comment pillar so I can send you that planner. Because if you follow along with the planner while you watch, this stops being entertainment and starts becoming a turning point. That is the whole point. So, let's go.
Pillar one is removal. I want you to treat this like taking your foot off the brake before you even touch the gas. Because a lot of you do not actually have a motivation problem. You have an energy leak problem. You have a distraction problem.
You have [music] a too many open tabs in your brain problem. You're trying to build a great 2026 on top of the daily life that's quietly draining you. If we don't remove what is stealing your time, your attention, your confidence, and your follow-through, [music] then the rest of this video turns into a nice speech that you agree with and maybe like and comment and nothing changes. So, here's the main idea for pillar one. Your results are not determined by what you want.
They are determined by what you repeatedly tolerate. And the fastest way to improve your life is to stop tolerating the things that are robbing it. Now, I'm going to give you a simple way to see your future. It's painfully honest, but it'll also be unbelievably freeing. Your calendar and your spending are already a prediction of your next year because you do not become what you think about.
You become what you do [music] and you do what you repeatedly choose. You can say you want a better body, a better relationship, a better bank account, a better business, better confidence, better peace. Everybody says that. But if you look at the last two weeks of your life, is it not a mystery why you've got what you got? Because you voted every single day with your minutes and your dollars.
And at the end of the year, the ballots get counted, like I said. So, here is the first removal exercise. It is so simple, it almost feels insulting, [music] but it works because it forces honesty. I want you to do this either right now in your notes app or later with a planner. Like I said, this part is way easier when it is written out and you're not trying to remember in your head.
Step one, write down the top five ways you spent your time in the last 14 days. [music] I mean, the real ones, not the ones you wish you did, not the story version of you, the actual version that you actually did. Step number two, write down the top five discretionary ways you spent money in the last 14 days. [music] And yes, I mean the little purchases, too, okay? Because those are usually the ones that reveal the truth about you.
Step three is the only question that matters. Does this make 2026 better or does [music] it make 2025 louder? Because a lot of people are not actually living their life. They're managing their nervous system. They're using distractions as medicine.
[music] If that is you, I'm not judging you. I am telling you the truth. I cannot fix what you refuse to name. Now, I want to shift something in your brain. Most people will think this is about willpower.
Willpower is literally the weakest tool we have. Willpower is like trying to hold a beach ball [music] underwater all day long. You can do it for a bit, but eventually your arms are going to get tired. It pops back up, it smacks you in the face. This is why so many people do new year, new me for 12 days and then they're back to normal.
This is why the gyms are packed for like a week and then they're empty again. They try to fight their environment with willpower. You're not going to outwillpower a phone that has been engineered by thousands of people to steal your attention. [music] You're not going to outwillpower a friend group that has been training you for years to stay the [music] same. And you're not going to outwpower an identity you keep repeating to yourself.
So removal is not about trying harder. Removal is about designing your life so the wrong decisions become harder and the [music] right choices become easier. Because focus is not something that you just create. Focus is what is left over when you remove everything that's [music] competing for your time and your energy. So, let's start with the easiest category to remove, which is digital noise.
You're going to hate how basic this sounds because it's basic. But if you actually do it, it's going to change your days immediately. [music] Rule number one, your phone should not be allowed to interrupt your life whenever it wants. That is insane. And yet, that's how most people live.
They let an app decide when their brain gets pulled away from what matters. [music] For example, I have my phone on do not disturb while I record this video. other people can wait. I've got business to take care of. So, on that subject, the first removal should be notifications.
And I want to be clear, I do not mean some notifications. I mean turn off all notifications for everything that is not a real human being who might have an emergency [music] because your attention is your life. And if you cannot protect your attention, you cannot protect your future. Okay. The second removal is that you need at least one daily block of time where your phone is physically not in the same room as you.
Because [music] if it's in the room, it is not neutral. It's a loaded weapon on the table. And even if you don't touch it, part of your brain is tracking [music] it. So for your most important work, your most important learning, your most important training, your most important creation time, put the phone away. And if you're thinking, "But what if somebody needs me?"
Here's a rule that will set you free. [music] It might sound harsh, but it's honest. If it's a true emergency, they can call emergency services. [music] If it is not a true emergency, it can wait. You're not a bad person for having boundaries.
You're a serious person for having boundaries. And now the third removal is what I call the open tab apocalypse. This is when you have 27 things you could be doing and you feel busy but you are not [music] effective. The easiest fix is this. Pick one thing that matters most for the next 90 days.
Remove everything else from being a [music] priority. When you try to improve everything, you improve nothing. Most people don't fail because they aim too low. They fail because they aim at 12 targets at once and hit none of [music] them. So for 2026, you're going to pick a primary mountain, one main mission, one main focus.
Everything else becomes secondary. At least do this for a month. And not because the other things don't matter, but because you'll only have so much attention. And your attention is zero [music] sum. Every yes is a no to something else.
Every hour you spend somewhere is an hour you cannot spend somewhere else. Okay. Now, let's talk about the next category of removal, which is people. [music] Now, as an introvert myself, this comes easy to me, but it won't come easy to everybody. So, the fastest way to ruin a great plan is to keep the same inputs.
I'm going to say something that will sound very blunt, [music] but it's meant to help you. Okay? Some people in your life are not bad people, but they are bad for your momentum. You cannot build a different life while keeping the same social gravity. Your reference group becomes your [music] ceiling.
And your reference group is not always the people you spend the most time with. It's the people who you listen to when you're about to do something hard. It's the voices you hear in your head when you're about to make a bold decision. If the voices you hear are the voices of people who do not live the life that you want, then you are borrowing their limits and calling it being realistic. That's not realism.
That is borrowed fear. And we live in a world full of fear. So, here's a friend filter that does not require you to be dramatic or mean [music] or cut everybody off like you're in a movie. The filter is simple. Do they pull me forward or keep me comfortable?
Do they respect discipline or mock it? There's a lot of people who mock it. [music] When I leave time with them, do I feel energized or dulled? If the honest answer is that they keep you comfortable, they mock [music] discipline and leave you feeling dulled. You do not need to announce a breakup.
You just need to see them less. Sincerely, better friends are usually busier friends. And if your friend is always available, always bored, always down to kill time, always down to scroll, always down to drink, always down to talk about what they want without doing what it takes, that's not a [music] friendship. That's a mutual avoidance dressed up as hanging out. And listen, if you're ambitious, you're going to have seasons where you're going to feel a little bit lonely.
Stop treating that like something's wrong with you. [music] Being exceptional literally means being the exception. The exception is not the majority. If you try to be rare while also needing the comfort of being normal, you will rip yourself in half. So, make peace with this idea right now.
There may be a season where you have fewer friends, fewer parties, fewer [music] invites, fewer distractions, and more progress. That's not a tragedy. That's the price tag of building a life that makes you proud. Now, the third category of removal is the sneakiest one. [music] This is where most people lose their year without even noticing.
It is identity traps. These are the little labels you keep repeating that give you permission to [music] stay the same. You already know what I mean because you've said them and you've heard them. They sound harmless, but they're not harmless. They are commands.
The label sounds like, "I'm just not disciplined or I'm just a morning person [music] or I'm not techy or I'm not good with money or I'm bad at consistency or I've always been like this." Every time you say that, you are not describing yourself. You're programming yourself. Your brain is a compliance [music] machine. It will try to obey the identity that you declare to yourself.
And then you wonder why you keep repeating the same exact habits. [music] So here's the replacement. And I want you to write it down in your planner because it's one of the most powerful sentences you can install. The sentence is I am the type of person who. And then you fill in the behavior.
[music] Not a vibe, not a personality trait, a behavior. Start with the small ones. I'm the type of person who does what I said I would do. I'm the type of person who trains even when I don't feel like it. I'm the type of person who [music] keeps promises to myself.
I'm the type of person who tells the truth about my habits [music] because doing is being. Your identity is just your most consistent behavior, which means you can change it by changing your actions. Notice what this does. It's not motivational. It's mechanical.
[music] It shifts you from this this is who I am to this is what I do. What you do is controllable. What is controllable is changeable. And that is the entire point. Now, the fourth category of removal is entitlement.
and false expectations. And this one's huge, especially in the US. Most frustration is not caused by reality. It's caused by expectations arguing with reality. [music] People quit not because the task is hard, but because they expected it to be easier.
They take the difficulty personally for some reason. They make up a story when something goes wrong. When actually nothing is wrong. [music] You just finally met the price tag of big outcomes. Big outcomes do not come from small price tags.
And if they did, everybody would have them. I need you to hear this clearly because it is one of the most freeing truths on earth. [music] The fact that it is hard does not mean it is broken. The fact that it's taking longer does not mean that you are failing. The fact that you feel resistance does not mean you are meant for it.
[music] It means you are doing something that matters. That resistance is the signal that you are leaving behind the old version of yourself. So removal here means removing the fantasy lineup. Removing the fantasy version of what it should feel like. replacing [music] it with a simple mindset that says, "This is the cost and I have to pay it."
That's not toxic. That's [music] mature. Because the most dangerous thing you can do is treat hard work like a betrayal. Then every day hard work becomes an excuse to quit. You will never build anything meaningful if you do that.
Now, let's make pillar one extremely tactical because I want you to leave this section with specific removals you can actually execute on. So, here are four that will change your day immediately if you do them, and I'll do them with you. First, a daily deep work container. [music] Choose one block of time, even if it's just 30 minutes, where you do not allow interruptions. You do not check your messages.
You do not multitask. You work on the one thing that matters most. If you cannot do 30 minutes, then do 10. But do it every single day. The goal is not heroics.
The goal is consistency. So, if you're serious, you can scale it up to 60 minutes, 90 [music] minutes, 100 minutes, but start with what you can actually maintain. I know some of you are busy. [music] Secondly, a distraction quarantine. Take the top two distractions in your life.
Maybe it's social media and late night snacking. Maybe it's alcohol and doom scrolling. Maybe it's [music] gaming and weed. Maybe it's YouTube rabbit holes and impulse buying. Set a hard rule for 30 days that those two things do not [music] happen before your deep work block.
When you do the cheap dopamine first, your brain has no interest in earning the good dopamine later. You will sabotage your day before it even begins. Now, [music] third, environmental cleanup. Remove physical friction. Make it easier to do the right thing and harder to do the wrong thing.
Put workout clothes next to your bed. Put a water bottle on your desk. Delete the most addictive app off of your home screen. Log out of the ones you just waste your time on. [music] Keep junk food out of the house, not because you're weak, but because you are smart.
You're not trying to win a daily battle. You're trying to redesign the war. Fourth, replace your reference group. Intentionally add voices that are closer to your goals than your current circle. [music] And those voices may be books.
They might be podcasts. They might be mentors online. They might be one serious friend that you barely talk to. It might [music] be me. They might be a community that is actually building something.
Because if you keep listening to the same voices, you will keep making the same decisions. If you keep making the same decisions, you will keep getting the same exact year that you had in 2025. [music] And yes, this might mean you see some people less. It might mean you say no more often. [music] It might mean you become less available.
That is fine. Your life is not a customer service line. You're not obligated to be constantly reachable at the cost of your future. I want to land pillar one with a simple truth that will help you stay consistent with removal. People hear all this and think it's about becoming strict, becoming intense, [music] becoming some kind of robot.
And it's not. It's about becoming intentional. You just have to think. You don't just magically rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.
Removal is the first system. Removal creates space. [music] Removal gives you oxygen. Removal turns your days from chaos into something you [music] can actually steer. If you do nothing else from this entire video, do this one thing tonight.
[music] Decide the number one thing that is stealing your life the most right now. Name it and remove it from your mornings. Your mornings decide your day. Your days decide your weeks. Your [music] weeks decide your months.
Your months decide your year. Okay? And if you want help doing this in a clean step-by-step way, again, comment pillar and I'll send you that four-pillar life planner for free. It literally walks you through this exact removal audit. It forces you to be honest on paper.
And honesty on paper is where change starts. [music] And now that we've started removing the leaks and now that we have started clearing space, we can do what most people try to do first, which is start something new and actually have the energy and attention to follow through on it. So, let's move into pillar two, which is [music] motion. I'm going to show you how to begin immediately without waiting for motivation, without waiting for January 1st, and without waiting to feel [music] ready because ready is not a feeling. Ready is a decision.
Pillar two is motion. I [music] want you to hear this clearly because it might be the single most useful sentence in this entire video. Action creates clarity. Clarity creates confidence. And confidence creates momentum.
And people reverse that order and wonder why they stay stuck. [music] They tell themselves, "Once I feel confident, then I'll start." But confidence does not come first. It comes after you move. It comes after you prove to yourself with behavior that you can be trusted.
If you're waiting for motivation to arrive like some magical delivery driver who shows up at your door and hands you a great year, you're going to wait forever. I'm sorry. Motivation is unreliable. It's a mood. It's a weather pattern.
Your future cannot be built on the weather. It has to be built on motion. That's why this pillar is not called start. [music] It is called motion. Motion is the decision to move.
Even when you're not ready, even when you are not inspired, even when you are not sure, even when you do not fully believe in yourself yet. And I promise you this, the fastest way to believe in yourself is not to look in the mirror and say affirmations. Is to do one small hard thing that you said you would do. Then you have evidence to yourself [music] and evidence is what changes your identity. Like we talked about, the first enemy of motion is the calendar myth.
That is the idea that January first has magical properties that make you more disciplined, [music] more focused, more consistent, and more courageous. That's just not how humans work. If you need a special date to take your life seriously, you will need special dates forever. The only day you can actually change your life is today. [music] Because today is the only day that you can actually touch.
It's the only day that you can actually control. And I know that sounds obvious, but most people don't live like it's actually true. They live like future me is going to show up and become a superhero while current me keeps doing the same habits. That is not a plan. That is procrastination wearing a nice outfit.
So motion begins with a rule I want you to adopt for 2026. No more waiting to feel ready. Ready is not a feeling. Ready is [music] a decision. If you decide, you can move.
When you move, you learn. When you learn, you get better. And when you get better, you win. Now, let's get tactical because I don't want you to simply just agree with this section. Motion has three parts that work for business, [music] health, relationships, discipline, confidence, literally everything.
And here they are. You pick one direction. You set a minimum daily rep and you remove the option to do nothing. [music] Because the biggest killer is not doing it poorly. The biggest killer is doing nothing at all.
Part one is pick one direction. Stop trying to fix your entire life at once. When you try to fix everything, you trigger overwhelm. Overwhelm leads to avoidance. Avoidance leads to guilt.
Guilt [music] leads to distraction. And then you're back where you started. So instead, pick your primary mountain for the next 90 days. Pick your one main focus for [music] Q1. Pick it based on what will make the biggest difference if it improves.
It might make everything else redundant anyway. For most people, it's one of four things: income skills, health habits, relationship quality, or [music] attention control. You might say, "But I need all those." And you're probably right. But you cannot rebuild a house by trying to renovate every single room at the same time.
You pick one room, you finish it, and then you move on to the next one. Finish beats perfect. Momentum beats intention. [music] So, pick one direction. If you need a simple way to choose, use this filter.
Pick the one that if it improved 20% in the next 90 days, [music] would reduce stress in the rest of your life. The best mountain is the one that makes the other mountains easier. Like I said, part two is set a minimum daily rep. The rep has to be small enough that you cannot tell me that you're too busy. I want to say this in a way that makes it impossible to misunderstand.
Okay? Your goal is not to be heroic. Your goal is to be consistent. Consistency builds identity. Identity builds your year.
If you are the type of person who does the rep every day, you will eventually become the person who does bigger reps every day. But [music] you can't skip the everyday part. Your minimum daily rep may be 10 minutes of focused work, 10 minutes of walking, 10 minutes of learning, [music] 10 minutes of writing, one sales call, one follow-up, one hard conversation, one page of reading, one planned meal, one video. just one thing. The rule is it must be so easy you feel almost stupid doing it because the goal is to eliminate zero days.
If you eliminate zero days, you eliminate the shame cycle. Shame makes people hide from themselves. [music] Hiding makes people quit. Part three is remove the option completely to do nothing. Make the rep non-negotiable like brushing your teeth.
If you miss it, you don't spiral. You don't be dramatic like I've ruined everything. You simply do the rep the next [music] day. The point is motion, not perfection. And this is where most people get it wrong.
They think discipline is never missing. [music] Discipline is how quickly you can return after you miss. Missing once is life. Missing twice is a pattern. [music] And missing three times is a new identity.
Congrats. Your job is to protect the streak. And if the streak breaks, your job is to rebuild it immediately. Not Monday, not next month, immediately. [music] And now let's address the deeper reason people struggle to create motion.
It's [music] not laziness. It is fear. It's fear of looking stupid. Fear of wasting time. fear that you're going to try and it's not going to work and then you actually have to face what that [music] means.
This is why motion is so powerful. Motion turns fear into information. Information turns into a strategy and strategy turns into results. You cannot think your way into a new life. You have to act your way into one.
And there's two types of knowledge that matter here. And knowing the difference will save you years. There's declarative knowledge, which is knowing about something. There's procedural knowledge, which is knowing how to do something. Most people are drowning in declarative knowledge.
They watch videos, listen to podcasts, read books, video like this, collect information, feel productive, and then they stay stuck. Procedural knowledge only comes [music] from reps. It comes from friction. It comes from messing up. Comes from seeing what happens when you try.
So, if you want a better 2026, you have to stop using learning as a form of procrastination. I'm still researching is sometimes just fear with a clipboard. Here's the rule that changes everything. Learn just enough to take the [music] first step, then take the step. People who want the full map before they move never end up moving.
People who move get the map for free because reality teaches you once you show up. I also want to normalize something because this is where so many people quit. Your first reps are going to be ugly. They're going to be awkward. They're going to be emotionally uncomfortable.
Look at my first video. That does not mean you're doing it wrong. It just means you're doing it for the first time. Everybody fails the first time. I want you to take pride in that because failing is proof that you actually jumped.
Most people never even jump. [music] They stand on the ledge their whole life talking about what they could do, what they're going to do. And then they call that potential. Potential is one of the saddest, ugliest words if it never [music] gets converted into behavior. So your job in pillar 2 is to build what I call a failure resume.
I want you to actually want this. I want you to chase it. A failure resume, it means you're collecting attempts. You're [music] collecting feedback. You're collecting proof that you are in the arena.
The irony is that the more you fail, the more likely you are to win. Every failure is a rep. Every rep is data. Every data point is an [music] adjustment. Every adjustment is improvement.
And improvement is what separates people who talk from people who become. I know some of you are thinking, "Okay, but what if I pick the wrong direction? What if I waste time?" Here's the truth that will free you. [music] You will waste more time by waiting than you will by picking imperfectly and moving.
Motion creates correction itself. Stillness creates fantasy. If you pick a direction, it turns out not to be perfect. [music] You still gained skills. You gained discipline.
You gained confidence. You gained self-rust. Those transfer on to the next movement. You are the asset more than the outcome. The person who learns to move becomes dangerous in a good way [music] because they can rebuild anything.
And now let's make motion even more practical cuz that's what this video is about. I want you to leave this section with a simple daily structure that you can use immediately. This is where the fourpillar life planner helps a lot because it turns this into a checklist instead of a [music] concept. If you want it again, comment pillar and I'll send it over to you for free. Either way, here's the daily motion structure.
Three blocks. Block one [music] is one rep for your body. Block two is one rep for your mission. And block three is one rep for your mind. The reps can be small, but they must [music] be real.
For your body, it might be a walk, a lift, a stretch, a meal plan, going to sleep on time, something that signals, I take my physical state seriously. Your physical state is your foundation. If your energy sucks, your discipline's going to suck. And if your discipline sucks, your 2026 is going [music] to suck. For your mission, it is the one step that produces something, not consumes something.
It might be a sales call, a follow-up, a script, a video outline, a landing page tweak, [music] a proposal, a job application, sending off a cold email, or a hard conversation, something that moves your life forward. For your mind, it is one rep that upgrades you. a page of reading, 10 minutes of learning with notes, journaling, meditation, reflection, anything that turns you into a better operator. Here's the trick. Do these in that order as often as you can.
[music] If you start your day with consumption, you will end your day with regret. I promise you, you've probably done it a million times, and [music] I've done it a million times as well. If you start your day with motion, you will end your day with pride. And pride is the fuel you actually want because pride [music] is earned. Earned pride is one of the strongest motivators on earth.
I'm going to feel that feeling after this 1-hour long video. Now, let's talk about the pace because some of you are going to overcorrect. You're going to hear this and decide you want to go full superhero mode. 5 hours a day, 7 days [music] a week. Overhaul your diet, overhaul your training, your business, your sleep, your relationships, your finances [music] starting tomorrow.
You're going to do it starting tomorrow and then you're going to crash because you sprinted the first mile in a marathon. The secret to motion is not intensity, it's sustainability. The best plan is a plan that you can repeat. [music] The best rep is the rep you can do even on your worst day. That's why I want you to pick a minimum you can hit when your life is chaotic.
If you have more energy at the end of the day, just add more on top. You're building a system that survives stress, [music] not a system that only works when you feel amazing. And remember, the goal is not to win the day. The goal is to win 2026. The year is won by stacking enough days that your old self could never survive.
Eventually, if you do the rep long enough, it [music] stops being something you do and it becomes who you are. Once it becomes who you are, it takes less effort. And when it takes less effort, [music] you do it more. And when you do it more, you get better faster. That compounding effect is what most people never reach because they never stay in motion long enough.
They sprint [music] and then stop. I want to land this pillar with a challenge that is simple and powerful. I'll call it the motion challenge. 30 days, one rule. [music] Have no zero days on your primary mountain.
So, set it up in the planner or write it on a sticky note. Every day for 30 days, you do your minimum rep. You [music] track it. You do not negotiate. You do not debate with yourself.
The debate is a trap. If you miss a day, you don't quit. You restart the next day. The point is to become the type of person who returns. [music] If you do this for 30 days, something insane is going to happen.
You stop relying on motivation. You'll stop relying on hype. You stop relying on perfect conditions. You start relying on yourself. That is when your life changes.
[music] Because the moment you can trust yourself, you can build anything. That is why pillar two is motion. Motion is the bridge between the life you want and the life you have. [music] The bridge is built out of reps, not dreams. In the next pillar, pillar three, we're going to talk about stacking [music] because motion alone is not enough.
We want motion with feedback, motion with tracking, motion [music] with skill stacking. We want you not just to be busy, we want you to become better. That is where 2026 stops being a year you tried and starts being a year that you transformed. Now guys, let's be real. This is a long video.
So please, if [music] you need to take a break, walk away, come back, okay? Definitely come back because the next two pillars are the most important. And without them, your 2026 will likely just be another year of regret. Okay? [music] So take a quick break and then come back to this and then we'll get to pillar three.
Pillar three is stacking. And this is where you stop being the person who tries hard and you become the person who actually compounds because trying hard without stacking is just suffering on repeat. But stacking is what turns effort into progress and progress into momentum and momentum into completely different life. I want to start with the core idea because it is the difference between people who look busy forever and people who actually become unstoppable. And the idea is this.
You do not need one magical talent. You need stacked skills plus feedback loops because one skill can get you started, but [music] a stack of skills makes you valuable in any room, in any economy, in any season. And the beautiful thing is that stacking does not just require you to be special. It requires you to be consistent. [music] And consistency is learnable.
Most people think that improvement is some vague motivational concept like be better this year. And that sounds nice, but it's useless because your brain cannot execute [music] be better. Your brain cannot execute a checklist. Your brain can execute reps. Your brain can execute measurement.
And stacking is the system that tells your brain exactly what to do and exactly how to know if it's working. So, here's the first shift in pillar 3. If you want your 2026 to be your best year, you have to stop measuring your life by intentions and start measuring it by inputs. Because outcomes take time to show up, but inputs show up every single day. [music] And if you can control inputs, outcomes become a math problem.
And math is comforting because math does not care about your mood. The first part of stacking is you pick the few skills that if you got slightly better at them every week would [music] make everything else easier. And I want you to understand this in a way that hits both sides of your audience. The entrepreneur side and the regular life side because [music] it's the same mechanism just applied differently. For entrepreneurs, the highest leverage stack is usually some combination of attention control, offer creation, sales, follow-up, and content because attention just gets [music] you in front of people.
Your offer gives them a reason to care. Sales converts interest into money. Follow-up multiplies your conversion rate without multiplying your effort. [music] And content builds trust at scale. And if you can do those five things at a decent level, you become dangerous because you can create demand, you can communicate value, and you can close, which means you can always rebuild.
For the broader life side, the highest leverage stack is usually sleep, [music] basic strength, basic nutrition, emotional regulation, and communication. Because sleep [music] fixes your brain, movement fixes your body and your mood. Nutrition stabilizes your energy and your cravings. Regulation keeps you from self-sabotaging. And communication saves your relationships.
[music] And I want you to notice something. None of these stacks are fancy, but they are rare because most people want to hack. And stacking is not a hack. Stacking is reps with a scoreboard. The second part of pillar three is the feedback [music] loop.
And this is where people either accelerate or they stay stuck. Because a feedback loop is simply do something, measure what [music] happened, adjust, and repeat. It sounds obvious, but most people do not do it. They do something, feel something, assume something, and then change everything. And they never give anything enough time to work.
[music] So here's the rule. Do not confuse movement with progress. Progress is movement that gets measured and adjusted. Because if you do not measure, you do not learn. And if you do not learn, you cannot stack.
You just spin in circles. Let's build you one simple scoreboard for your life. Because if you have no scoreboard, your brain will make one up. And it will usually be based on feelings. And feelings are terrible scoreboards because you can feel like a loser on a day where you actually did the right things and you can feel like a winner on the day you avoided everything.
So [music] instead, let's track a few lead measures. And lead measures are the actions that cause the outcome, not the outcome itself, because outcomes lag. But lead measures lead. I'm going to give you four scoreboards right now. And these match the four pillars in your planner.
So if you're following along on the four-pillar life planner, this will click immediately for you. And if you're not, you can still write these down because they are simple. Scoreboard number one is body. And your lead measures are workouts per week, steps per day, and protein per day. Because those three numbers alone, if you hit them consistently, will change your physical life, your energy, and your [music] confidence.
Scoreboard number two is money or mission. And your lead measures are outreaches per day, offers per week, and [music] deep work minutes per day. Because money does not magically show up. It shows up when you create opportunities and you actually follow through. Scoreboard number three is relationships.
And your lead measures are going to be intentional time per week, meaningful conversations per week, [music] and unresolved tension handled quickly. Because relationships do not fall apart from one big event. They fall apart from a hundred unspoken things. And the best couples and the best friendships are not perfect. They're just honest quickly.
Scoreboard number four is going to be mind and discipline. [music] And your lead measures are screen time cap, deep work blocks completed, and sleep window protected. Because if you can protect your mind, you can protect your year. Okay? Now, pick one lead measure in each category, just one.
Because if you try to track 20 things, you're going to track zero. And track this daily because daily tracking creates daily awareness. And daily awareness is what prevents you from waking up in December wondering where the year went. And now, let's talk about investing in yourself because this is the part where people either get offended or they get [music] free. And I want you to get free because the highest return investment you can make is not a stock.
It is not crypto. It's not a new car. It's not a bigger house. It's not the fantasy of a lucky break. It is [music] you.
Because you are the only asset that compounds in every environment. And I need you to adopt this belief for 2026. [music] If you get better, your life gets better because better decisions create better outcomes. Better skills create better opportunities. And better discipline creates better consistency.
[music] And consistency is what unlocks the results you keep telling yourself that you want for 2026. Here's the most practical way to do this. And it's so straightforward, it almost feels too simple. [music] Create an education budget for yourself. And it could be time or it can be money because both matter.
And if you do not intentionally allocate time and money to your growth, your time and money will get allocated to distraction by default. Because distraction is always available and growth has [music] to be scheduled. So your skill budget might be an hour a day of focused learning and practice. And it might be a certain amount of money per month set aside for books, courses, coaching, conferences, tools, whatever makes sense for your personal situation. And I want you to remove the guilt around this because a lot of people will spend money on comfort and call it treating themselves.
But they feel guilty spending money on growth. [music] And that is totally backwards because comfort disappears and skills stay. And if you want to treat yourself, become someone who you are actually proud of. [music] That is the real treat. But don't misunderstand what I mean by investing in yourselves.
[music] Because some people hear this and think it means buying random courses and hoarding information. And that is not stacking. That's just shopping. And shopping is not a strategy. It's just procrastination.
Here's how you actually make investments in yourself [music] work. You buy learning that connects to your current mission and you immediately apply it because application converts learning into [music] skill like we talked about. And skill converts time into results. And results convert your effort into momentum. >> To make this extremely tactical, here's a simple filter to run before you invest time or money into learning something.
Ask yourself, will this make me earn more, save more, think clearer, communicate better, or suffer less? And if the answer to yourself is yes, then it's probably worth it. And if the answer is no, then it's just entertainment. And entertainment is fine in moderation, but entertainment does not compound. Now, let's talk about compounding itself because this is where stacking becomes powerful.
And I want you to picture your life like a pile of [music] bricks. And every day you have the opportunity to place one brick. And most people place random bricks in random places and then they wonder why they never built anything. [music] Stacking is where you place the bricks in the same structure over and over and over again. So the wall gets higher.
And once the wall gets high enough, everything changes for you because the wall becomes a platform and now you can see further and now [music] you can move faster and now you can build bigger things with less effort because you're standing on top of your own work. So this is why skills stack on top of each other. A skill you learn today does not just give you a result today. It increases the value of every future hour that you work. And that is called compounding.
And the people who win are not necessarily the most talented. They're the ones who keep increasing the value of their future hours. [music] Which means they can outpace people who are naturally gifted but stagnant. Now, here's the part that will make pillar 3 real for you. Because I don't want you to be inspired.
I want you to be equipped. And to [music] be equipped, you need a weekly review. Because without a weekly review, you will drift. And drift [music] is what creates regret. So, here's a 10-minute weekly review you can do every Sunday or Monday morning.
And if you do this for the next 52 weeks, your life will be unrecognizable. Question one, what did I do this week that moved my life forward? [music] Question two, what did I do this week that stole my time? Question three, what is the one adjustment that will make next week easier? Question four, what is the one skill I need to practice next week?
[music] Question five, what is the one thing I must not negotiate on? This works because it turns your life into an experiment. And experiments remove shame. Because if you're experimenting, failure is not a character flaw. It's feedback.
[music] And now I want to give you a universal stacking plan for 2026 that works whether you're a business owner, an aspiring entrepreneur, or just someone who wants to level up in life. And the plan is this. For the next 90 days, pick one primary skill to stack and pick one supporting skill to stack. [music] and do not change them every week because stacking requires repetition and repetition requires patience. Your primary skill might be sales, content, fitness, communication, or attention control.
Your supporting skill might be something like follow-up, editing, [music] meal prep, emotional regulation, or a sleep routine. Then build a simple rep schedule like three times a week for the primary and two times a week for the supporting skill and track it because what gets tracked gets [music] trained and what gets trained gets stacked, baby. And if you do that, you will look back in 90 days and feel like a totally different person. Not because you got lucky, but because [music] you stacked. Now, let's address the biggest reason people do not stack.
And it's not that they can't. It's that they do not want to feel stupid. Because stacking requires you to be bad at something for a little while. And the ego hates that. The ego wants to be good immediately.
But life does not care about your ego. And 2026 will not reward your ego. It will reward your reps. So, the sooner you just accept you're going to be bad at something before you're good at it, the sooner that you get good because you stop resisting the process. [music] Here's the line I want you to use when you feel that resistance.
When you feel embarrassed, when you feel clumsy, when you feel like you don't know what you're doing. This is what learning feels like. That's what I want you to use. Most people quit not because it's something impossible, [music] but because they mislabel the sensation of learning as proof that they're not capable. And that's a tragic mistake because learning feels awkward.
Learning feels messy. It feels [music] repetitive. And if you can endure that sensation, you can stack anything. I want to land pillar three with something that makes your life simpler because [music] simplicity is power. And the simplest version of stacking is this.
Do more of what works. Measure what happens. Remove what does not work. And repeat it. If you can do that in your health, your money, your relationships, and your mind, you will [music] win.
Not because you're perfect, but because you are adapting. And adaptation is what makes you unstoppable over time. Now that you understand stacking, now that you have the scoreboards, now that you have feedback loops and you know how to invest in yourself in a way that actually turns into skill, we move into the final pillar because this is where most people lose the year. Not because they did not know what to do, but because they did not keep doing it. Pillar four is persistence.
And this is the pillar that decides whether you get a great week or a great 2026. Because most people can get excited for a few days. Most people can do a fresh start for like a week. Most people can do a burst of motivation, but almost nobody can persist when it gets boring, when it gets hard, [music] when it gets slow, when it feels like nothing is happening. And the truth is that 2026 will not be won by your most motivated days.
It will be won by your most ordinary days. Because ordinary days stacked over time create extraordinary outcomes. I want to open this pillar with a sentence that is both comforting and brutally honest. Staying focused is not a one-time victory. It is a daily fight and the fight changes shape every single day because the thing that [music] distracts you will evolve.
It will find new angles. It will wear a different costume and it'll keep trying to steal your future in exchange for comfort. And your job is not to win just once. Your job is to win today and then wake up and win again tomorrow and again tomorrow. Because the only way to never stop is to stop treating consistency like a personality trait and start treating it like a practice.
Now, let's make this real because a lot of people hear never stop [music] and they think it means you never rest, you never slow down, you never have a bad day, you never feel tired. And that is not what it means. Never stop means you do not quit. It means even if you slow down, even if you take a breath for a second, even if you take a day where you just do the minimum rep, you do not let go because the only true failure is quitting altogether. And the reason quitting is so dangerous is that it steals your identity.
It teaches you that you can't trust yourself. And once you do that enough times, you stop believing in you. And if you stop believing in you, your life shrinks to the size of your comfort zone. So persistence begins with the most important skill of all, which is saying no. And I want you to understand this.
Focus is not your ability to concentrate harder. Focus is your ability to eliminate alternatives. Because [music] every yes you say is a no to something else. And if you say yes to everything, you're saying no to your future by default. And if you struggle with this, it's not because you're weak.
It's just because you're trying to live a life where you please everyone and also become exceptional. And those two goals are in conflict because exceptional requires boundaries. Exceptional requires priorities. Exceptional requires you to disappoint people who want you available. And I'm going to be blunt here because I want you to win.
If you're not willing to disappoint people with small nos, you will end up disappointing [music] yourself with big regret. So let's build you a no system that actually works. Because if you do not have a system, your emotions will run the show and your emotions will try to avoid discomfort. And discomfort is often the price tag of progress. So here's the first rule.
Your time has tears. And tier one time is non-negotiable time. It is the time that makes your whole life better. It's your deep work block. It's your [music] training, your sleep window, your relationship time, your learning time, your planning.
And if you do not protect tier one, you will live a tier three life because everything else will fill the gaps. So you decide your tier one first. You schedule it first and then you let other things fight over what is left. And if someone asks for your time and it invades tier one, the answer is no. Not because you hate them, but because you respect yourself.
And here's the sentence I want you to practice saying because most people do not struggle with boundaries. They struggle with the script. And the script [music] is I can't do that, but I can do this. And you alter an alternative that fits your schedule. And if that person respects you, they will respect it.
And if they don't respect it, that is information for you. Because people who benefit from you having no boundaries will [music] always get annoyed when you create boundaries. Now, here's the second persistent skill, and this is the one that separates people who have potential from people who actually become something. the ability to hear no without losing enthusiasm because you are going to get rejected and you are going to fail and people are gonna misunderstand you and you are going to post something and it's going to flop and you are going to make an offer [music] and nobody buys and you are going to try a habit and you will fall off and you will make a 1-hour long video and nobody will watch. And if you interpret every no as a verdict on your identity, you will stop.
[music] But if you interpret every no as data, you will persist. And persistence is what turns data into mastery. [music] And that brings me to one of the most important mental models for this entire video. Micro speed and micro [music] patience, which means you move fast in the small and you're patient in the big. You execute today like someone is chasing you.
[music] You get reps in today. You get your deep work today. You do the outreach today. You do the workout today. And you do the hard conversation today.
But you do not expect the entire mountain to move in a week because big outcomes take time to show up. And this is where most people break. They want macro results on micro timelines. And when that does not happen, they feel betrayed by reality and [music] then they quit. But the winners accept this.
Today is for execution. This month is for reps. This quarter is for skill. [music] And the year 2026 is for results. So let's make this practical because I want you to actually be able to persist when you hit the inevitable valley.
And the valley is the part after excitement ends and before results actually end up showing up. [music] It's where you feel bored. It's where you feel uncertain. It's where you feel alone. It's where you wonder if it's working.
And most people actually quit right there. Not because it's impossible, but because they think the valley is a sign that they're doing it all wrong. And it's not. The valley is actually the sign that you're doing it right. Because the valley is where the work actually begins.
And if you can survive the valley, you get the compounding. Here's the persistence protocol for the valley. And it's simple. When it's easy, do more. [music] When it's hard, just do it differently.
When it's confusing, return to the basics. Because when something is working, that's the moment that you double down. Not the moment you wander off and start chasing shiny objects. And when something is not working, that's the moment that you should adjust your approach. It's not the moment that you should quit the mission altogether.
And when you're overwhelmed from complexity, you simplify because simplicity is how you regain your control. So now, let's talk about the shiny object syndrome thing [music] because if you are ambitious, this will be one of your biggest enemies in 2026, especially. And it is weird because shiny object syndrome feels like optimism. [music] Feels like the possibility. It feels like maybe this is the one thing because a new thing gives you uninformed optimism.
Gives you that good old fresh dopamine and it lets you escape the discomfort [music] of being in the middle of the hard part of the current thing. I want you to picture it like this. Every opportunity shows you the upside first and it hides the bodies. And the bodies are the hard parts, the boring parts, the slow parts, the frustrating parts, and the parts where you have to become somebody different. And when you switch too early, you reset back to the beginning where it feels exciting.
And then you hit the hard part again. [music] And then you switch again. And years go by and you stay the same. Not because you lack talent, but because you lack persistence. Does this sound familiar?
So I want you to adopt a simple rule for 2026. And this rule will save you years. I [music] do not switch until I have enough data. Because most people switch when they have feelings, not [music] data. And feelings are totally unreliable.
So decide your data thresholds. like I will do this for 90 days or I'll do 100 reps or I will do 30 days of minimum reps with [music] a weekly review. And only after you have the data do you actually decide to pivot or persist [music] because you don't want to make life decisions based on a bad Tuesday. Now here's the second part of persistence that people do not talk about enough. The better you get, the more opportunities that show up.
And that sounds like a good problem to have, but it's also a trap because early on you have distractions that are obvious. scrolling, partying, random wasting time, but later you get distractions that are still profitable. And these are the ones that steal greatness because you'll have multiple good options and the only way to become great is to say no to good [music] so that you can say yes to exceptional. And this is where the micro speed macro patience actually matters because you're going to have to keep executing fast on your chosen path while being patient that the big breakthrough is still loading because breakthroughs are delayed and the delay is what makes them very rare. I want you to internalize something that will protect you from shame [music] because shame is one of the biggest reasons that people quit.
Shame makes you hide. Hiding makes you drift and drifting makes you fall off. And the truth is, you're going to have off days. You're going to have low energy days. You are going to have weeks where life hits you like a ton of bricks.
You're going to get sick. You are going to travel. Things are going to happen. And persistence does not mean that none of that happens. Okay?
Persistence just means you do not turn an off day into an off life. And the way you avoid that is you have a minimum and you [music] protect it because missing once is life. Missing twice is a pattern. And your only job is to not let it become a pattern. Now, let's talk about the emotional side of persistence because some of you are going to be doing the reps.
You're going to be doing the work and you're going to be saying no. You're going to be stacking skills and you are still going to feel like you are not making progress fast enough. And I need you to expect that [music] because feelings lag reality and results lag inputs. And this is why you need the weekly review [music] and the lead measures because on the days you feel like nothing is happening, the numbers will remind you that you are becoming someone different. [music] And becoming is the point because you will not always see the growth in the mirror.
But it'll show up in your life. It'll show up in your decisions. It'll show up in your calmness. It'll show up in your confidence. It'll show up in your bank account for sure.
It'll show up in your body. And it will show in the way that you carry yourself. I also want you to understand this. Persistence [music] is not about being intense all of the time. It's about staying alive in the game long enough that you outlast [music] everybody else.
Because in business, in health, in relationships, in literally anything worth doing, you don't win by winning one singular [music] day. You win by staying in the arena. And most people leave the arena early because they want comfort now. [music] And the person who can delay comfort for a better future is the person who wins. And I want you to be that person [music] in 2026.
So, let's summarize pillar four in one sentence that you can remember. Protect your non-negotiables. Say no without remorse. Hear no without losing enthusiasm. Move fast in the small.
Be patient in the big. And never let an off day become an off life. Write it down. Now that you have all four pillars, removal, motion, stacking, and persistence, we are going to close this out by turning it into an actual plan you can run starting today. Because a system is only useful if it becomes actions.
And in the closing section, I'm going to compress your entire 2026 plan into one sentence you can carry into every ordinary day because ordinary days are where great years are [music] built. Here's your 2026 plan in one sentence. And I want you to pause for a second and actually let it land. Because if you follow this, you do not need luck. You do not need motivation.
You do not need perfect circumstances. [music] You need the system. Remove what drains you. Move every single day. Stack skills with feedback and persist with patience until the results show up.
That is it. That is the entire game. The reason it works is because it turns your year into something you can control [music] because you can always remove one distraction. You can always do one rep. You can always learn one skill.
You can always come back the next day. And when you do those four things long enough, your old life literally cannot survive because your old self cannot survive. I want you to remember, you're not trying to have a perfect year. You're trying to become the type of person who produces great years automatically. 2027 is important, too.
And the way that you become that person is by doing the boring, unsexy, daily stuff that most people refuse to do long enough for it to work. [music] So, here's what I want from you right now. If you're serious about making 2026 your best year yet, comment pillar and I'll send you the fourpillar life planner for free because it'll give you a simple structure to actually run this instead of just feeling inspired for an hour and then going back to normal.
