Why 9x12
The biggest card in the mailbox.
Most postcards are 4x6 or 6x9. A 9x12 has room to sell, and it gets seen.
Room for a real offer
Your offer, photos, reviews, a map, and a QR code all fit without cramming.
Hard to miss
Big enough that it doesn’t hide between letters. People see it before they sort the mail.
Every home on the route
EDDM delivers to every address in the neighborhoods you pick. No mailing list to buy.
Simple to order
We only print EDDM cards, so the whole process is built for it: pick routes, send a design, done.

For dental practices
When to mail, and what to offer.
October to December
Many dental plans reset in January, so remind families to use their benefits before the year ends.
January to February
New-year checkups, cleanings, and new-patient specials.
March to May
Whitening and Invisalign offers before wedding and graduation season.
July to August
Back-to-school checkups for kids.
Offers that get calls
- A new-patient special: exam, cleaning, and X-rays for one set price
- A free whitening kit or consult with a new-patient visit
- A free Invisalign or smile consultation
- Same-day emergency visits
- An in-house savings plan for patients without insurance
- A kids' first visit offer for families
Picking your routes
- Start with the routes closest to your office, where a short drive makes you the easy choice.
- Switch the map to "Homes only" so your cards reach households, not businesses.
- Shade the map by household income when you're pitching cosmetic work like veneers and Invisalign.
- Check your state dental board's advertising rules before you mail. Some states regulate how "free" offers and patient testimonials can be worded.
- Mail the same neighborhoods more than once. People book when they need a dentist, so be the card they remember.
5,000 homes on a 9x12 card is $2,999 All Inclusive, about 60 cents a home with postage included. A few new families who stay with your practice for years can be worth far more than the whole mailing.

How much do dental postcards cost?
A 9x12 dental postcard printed and mailed to 5,000 homes is $2,999 All Inclusive, about 60 cents a home with postage included. Runs go from 250 to 20,000 homes, and a full card design is $60.
Can you show me dental postcard examples?
Yes. The sample designs on this page are full 9x12 dental cards: a family practice, a cosmetic studio, an emergency office, and a pediatric practice. Our designers make yours for $60, built around your offer, photos, and brand.
What should a dental postcard say?
One clear offer, like a new-patient special, with your phone number in big type, a QR code to book, the insurance you take, a few reviews, and a friendly photo of your team or office. A 9x12 has room for all of it.
When should a dental office send direct mail?
Fall is popular because many dental plans reset in January and families want to use their benefits. January works for new-year checkups, spring for cosmetic offers, and late summer for back-to-school visits. Mailing the same neighborhoods two or three times works better than one big drop.
How many homes should a dental practice mail?
Most practices start with 2,500 to 5,000 homes in the neighborhoods closest to the office, then mail them again. Our route map shows the door count as you click, so you can match your budget exactly.
Do I need a mailing list or a permit?
No. Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) goes to every address on the USPS carrier routes you pick, so there's no list to buy, and on our All Inclusive package there's no permit or paperwork for you to handle. We print, bundle, pay the postage, and drop the cards at the Post Office for your routes.
Can you design the card for me?
Yes. Our designers make the whole card for $60. Send your logo, your offer, your phone number, and a few photos, and you get a proof to approve before anything prints. Already have a design? Send a print-ready PDF and we check it for you.
How long does it take?
Printing takes 4 to 6 days once you approve your proof, then 2 to 3 days to reach the Post Office. USPS doesn't guarantee a delivery window for Marketing Mail, but in our experience cards reach homes 3 to 5 business days after the drop-off.
Can I mail only homes, not businesses?
Yes. Our route map has a "Homes only" switch, so the cards go to residential addresses on your routes. You can also shade the map by household income and pick the neighborhoods that fit the jobs you want.
What is the smallest order?
Runs start at 250 cards, and they go up to 20,000. USPS needs at least 200 pieces in an EDDM Retail mailing, and most first mailings are 1,000 to 5,000 homes.

A bonus idea
What if your postcard paid for itself?
A lot of business owners who mail with us end up selling the other spots on a shared 9x12 card to other local businesses, so their own ad is free. That’s the 9x12 Method, and the masterclass shows how it works.
