Ryan, a full-time manager with no sales background, explains how he sold all 16 slots on his community card door to door in two hours on a Saturday.
Key takeaways
- Ryan walked his town square on a Saturday starting around 10 a.m., when most small businesses open, in a Midwest town of about 10,000.
- He visited 20 businesses and 16 said yes at about $200 a slot, while the other four were gatekeepers rather than outright nos.
- He skips a memorized script, walks in smiling with a folder of sample cards, and presents himself as the organizer rather than a salesperson.
- When the owner isn't in, he still shows the gatekeeper the card, leaves a sample and business card, and follows up when a slot opens.
- His college-age daughter designs the ads in Canva once logos come in, and businesses who asked to join later now sit on a waiting list.

This man sold out an entire community card in [music] just 2 hours on a Saturday morning and made $2,000 in profit and he did all of it with zero sales experience whatsoever. Other than his good looks, he claims to just be an ordinary guy. And Ryan pulled this off despite having a full-time job and a family to take [music] care of. All he did was walk into 20 businesses door-to-door within 2 hours and 16 of them said yes to join his card and they all agreed to pay him $200 for a slot on his card. And in this interview, he's going to break down exactly how he did it, exactly what he said to make the sales and [music] why the community card is the easiest way to get started with the 9 by 12 method and why you can do it with absolutely no sales experience.
And if you don't know what a community postcard is, it's a large oversized postcard with 16 local businesses ads on [music] it that each pay you $200 for a slot on the card and you mail it to 2,500 doors in town. [music] That's the value to them. And your profit is the difference between what you charge all of the businesses and what it costs you to print and mail the cards. In Ryan's case, [music] he made $2,000 in profit. It's honestly the quickest cash business that I have ever seen people start and Ryan is living proof of that because he did it in [music] 2 hours.
Now, let's go see what he has to say. Ryan, thank you so much for agreeing to come on to the channel and talk to us about your your methods. And I'm particularly excited for this one because obviously you recently sold out your first community card and you're actually the first person I've had on this channel about community cards rather than the 9 by 12 postcard. So, I'm sure the audience is on the edge of their seat ready with their notebooks. So, before we really dive deep, I just want to ask you, obviously you recently sold out your first community card.
Give us the highlight reel. How how much did you make if you're willing to share? How fast did you sell that out? And what's your business look like at this very >> You bet, Mitch. I uh I'll be honest with you, when I first got started with this, I was a little bit nervous.
You know, was was the community going to be acceptance to this? You know, how well it was going to go? Uh so, I just went out one Saturday morning and uh every community has a either a a town square or a strip that they can go to. That's what I did. Basically went door-to-door one store to the next and believe it or not, um the first store I went to, the first business I went to was all over it.
They were super excited. They were thanking me for asking them to be a part of this. So, it just brought my nerves down. It made me feel like, hey, I'm I'm providing a a service that's the customers wants, which made it so much easier to be able to not necessarily sell, but just to to show that, you know, I have something that I could provide to them that would help them along with the community and it just made it made me feel so much more comfortable. So, I couldn't wait till the next.
I went to the next business and the next and believe it or not, on this uh in my town is in the Midwest is a little square. There's probably uh 30 businesses on that square. I got to uh 40 and out of 40, 16 said yes. And I did that in 2 hours. 2 hours.
I wasn't That wasn't my goal. You know, I honestly thought it was going to take a couple days or weeks and literally uh a Saturday morning after about 10, 10 is when most small businesses opened up and it was so cool cuz then I knew I had something and I I was just I know, I was just so excited. It again, it made me feel good. You know, I know a lot of this um it's a smaller town, uh 10,000 people, but it just it made me feel good to be able to do this and present this opportunity. In fact, finding out later there was uh even more people that wanted on it.
They wanted to know why they hadn't been asked yet. So, I've got a waiting list. Uh so, if anybody drops out, it's going to be pretty quick to get get that card filled again. Uh as far as profit I was offering this at 195 for for a slot and uh that adds up to be almost All right, a little bit over $3,200 uh roughly and what that means for me after after postage and prints uh that's about 1,200 bucks. So, it left me with $2,000.
Now, you do the math on that, Mitch. 2 hours $2,000. What does that amount to? That's pretty good money. That's about $100 an hour.
That's about $1,000 an hour. >> I'm kidding. That's a yeah, $1,000 an hour. Yeah, and so I'm not saying this is going to happen every time, but it was just cool to see the response of the community. So, and there don't get me wrong, there's some behind-the-scenes work too that was involved.
As far as the sales part, 2 hours, I was done with that part. It was cool. That's insane. So, you sold out your entire card in a single day, 2 hours. That's it.
It was all sold out. >> Wow. Yep. Wow. I mean, that's that's insane.
I haven't I haven't heard a story like that before, but I mean, you must have some some sales skills that we'll dive into later on. Um you made $2,000. You sold 16 slots, which is every single slot. How did the ad design go? Did Did you handle that yourself?
Yeah, that's a great question. So, this has been fun as well. Cuz I I do work full-time, so I'm thinking, how am I going to do all of the behind-the-scenes work? You know, I can still do it, but I've got a daughter that's going to college and I gave her a little side business as well. She's my um go-to.
So, once I get the logos, they email them to me. I forward them over to her and then she plugs them in and and designs the ads if they want the ad design and she's really good at that part of it for Canva. Um it's been fun for her and I. We're kind of doing this together and it's helping pay for her her college, the money that I give to her and it's also a bit of a tax write-off too, so. Yeah, it's awesome.
It's a little family business you have going on. >> It is. Yeah, we've been having a lot of fun with it. She's learning about and so yeah, I'm I'm even hoping someday as I do this more, going to teach her the sales thing so she so she can go out and do that as well. Yeah, okay.
And do you have any sales experience? Obviously you sold 16 slots in a single day. Like, what's your day I really don't. I I manage um a business of about 40 employees um again in the Midwest, but as far as sales, no. I feel pretty comfortable, you know, with communication.
Um I love people. I am in the the uh uh customer service line of work, so I think that part of it kind of flows through, but honestly, I feel like if you take that approach, not a sales approach, keep me um the communication very simple and not overcomplicated like you're selling something it just makes it go over a lot better. Let them ask the questions. Just present it out there like you're here to help. You know, you're trying to share this um the cost and then it the the card honestly just sells itself.
It really does. Yeah, I agree. And I I've already learned two things from you. So, number one, a lot of people are worried that if they go door-to-door, the the business owner is going to come out with a baseball bat and tell them to screw off. But obviously in your case, that wasn't the case and it's probably because number two thing that I've learned from you is there doesn't have to be a very specific script.
You're just going in and presenting the idea in your own fluid way of talking. Like, you're not You probably didn't I assume you didn't memorize a script that you were going in and saying every time. Now, could you tell us generally like what it sounded like when you walked in? Yeah, you bet. So, that's the thing I'll mention too.
So, I'm carrying a black folder, you know, I've got my stuff in it. Um you know, sample cards, things like that. So, I have to have something there, but I think when I do that, you know, the first thought of me walking in, okay, he's not a customer. So, they might be a little um you know, off target there with who I am, but you just come in with a big smile, you know, introduce Hey, my name is Ryan. Um I I just want you to know that I've got something here that I think will help your business.
Um and I just present, you know, this this card I'll show them right away. In person so much better, I feel, because you can make contact, they can see it, they can smell it, feel it, whatever. It just makes it go over really well when they can see what they're getting, where their spot could be. And I just say, hey, this is going to 2,500 people or homes in in this town. I said, let's get those 2,500, you know, some of those into your door and help increase your revenue.
And they when they hear that um they're all about it. A lot of them don't do um advertising just because the cost is so expensive. But when you talk about sharing that cost uh I've I've known about every door direct mail for ever since it came out. And if I had my own business, I would be all over it. But they're again, small businesses don't have that budget you know, to spend on on But when you divide it 16 ways $200 to 2,500 homes is nothing.
It's like that's like 70 78 cents a piece. That's nothing. Yeah. Yeah, that's incredible. And so, obviously there's three main methods that people get clients.
There's email, phone calls, and in person. You obviously went with in person, which I believe is the simplest way to close somebody cuz they get to actually see your face. You're not some random spammer on their email. You're not some random cold caller. They see your face.
They They know that you're local now. But one thing that people struggle with sometimes is figuring out who to talk to or how to get to the business owner. So, how did you go about that? Did you just pitch the first person you saw or what'd you do? I do ask for the owner business owner right off the bat.
and so, of this Here's the deal. I told you 40, I got 16 out of 20. The four I didn't get weren't even no's. They just weren't They were the gatekeepers. They weren't the actual owners that made the decisions.
So, I did leave them with a sample, uh my business card and I didn't need to follow up. Yes, if I have any slots open, so I'm going to run this once a month, uh first of the month and if I see any slots open up, I'll be reaching out to them right away first to give them the opportunity. But um yeah, you know, the key is to talk to the one making the decisions. And so then if they're not there, I'll also grab their business card and uh follow up with them at a later time cuz I think they would definitely be interested in and do well with this. Yeah, awesome.
Did Did you get any resistance sometimes from like the gatekeeper to get to the business owner? Cuz you obviously you ask them, "Can I talk to the owner?" And sometimes they'll be a little resistant. I really didn't. Even when I presented them what I was doing cuz I didn't just ask for them and then just belittle them.
Just say, you know, "Hey, you're not good enough. Can I only talk to the owner?" I presented it to them, too. And just to get their thoughts. "Do you think the owner would be interested in this?"
And a lot of them said, "Absolutely." And they wanted a a sample. They wanted the business card. And I really truly feel they did they give it to them. Um I haven't heard back from them calling yet, but that's an easy follow-up call.
You know, they already kind of know what I've got. Now it's just um you know, following up when a slot opens to see if they're any Yeah, beautiful. So it sounds like you had a lot of confidence starting out. Were you confident because you have known about the 9 by 12 method or the community cards for a long time? Like what gave you this confidence?
And how quickly did you really start at this from when you found out about it? That's a great question. So I I'm always looking at, you know, ways to better myself, improve, however that may be. I found the 9 by 12 method on on And I was thinking this is cool. And so then I signed up for the program.
And I would say probably a month before I started, went through the the course. And real simple course, too. And it was awesome. Very simple, easy to Um for me then because I had a full-time job is finding that uh like I said, I do it on my one day off, Sunday. I keep open for rest.
But for Saturday, I keep it open for doing And it works really well. I can even, you know, do most of it I think in a Saturday morning type of thing. So I have my afternoon to do whatever. But I was I couldn't wait to do it. Nervous, yes.
But again, after that first first yes to the card, um I knew we I knew I had something. And and the confidence really came from your course. Learning that. Um cuz then I knew what to do. I knew things like, you know, talk to the owner.
Um keep it simple. You know, don't go at it like you're selling something. Go at it like you're organizing something. You're just the organizer. And really made a huge difference.
I appreciate that. And I'm glad you pointed that out because I really do try to keep the course as simple as possible because I feel I feel like a lack of confidence comes from uncertainty. And uncertainty is almost always by complexity. So as if I keep it simple and people just stick to the basics, I know that people will be more confident that way. So I'm glad that it worked out that way for you.
Yeah, for sure. In fact, I didn't thought, "Do I need to go back and go through these again?" I really don't. I'd rather use that time for so, you know, prospecting. It It's all there.
I got it. So if I need it, but I really feel pretty confident with what you taught. And it's easy to learn. Yeah, absolutely. So were there any Obviously, you just you walked into these businesses.
You You pitched them. Was there any specific tactics that you think could be a little secret cheat code that you haven't mentioned yet? >> Yeah, again, there's a trust factor. You know, like I said, once you once they go I go from a salesman more to an organizer. Making them feel comfortable.
A lot of them will ask um is it who else is on the card? You know, do you have anybody cuz they don't want to be the first one like, you know, once they hear that it is um there's multiple other businesses, I might even mention like, "Hey, I've got two spots left." You know, I don't say how many, but two spots. That makes it sound like, you know, there it is already filling up. You've got, you know, a short timeline of making your decision.
I I never make it a pressure thing. You know, I don't want them to feel like, you know, this is uh you know, you've got to do this now or but it's just more letting them think like, "Hey, this is this is a big deal." And it's And it And it did. Look how fast it sold. 2 hours.
Yeah. >> Um so there's a lot of businesses. Some few of the businesses went posted it on Facebook they wanted to let their customers know, "Hey, this is coming out around this date." And so then you know, we sent it to 2,500 people. There's a lot of customers uh homes that didn't get it.
So they're like, "We didn't get one. Can we get one?" So it made me feel good that way, too. But on another hand, I like I felt bad that it didn't get go to all 10,000. But there again, that's that just makes it more, you know, supply and demand type of thing, you know.
So I guess the other thing I would mention how to go about it. Have your Have your card with you. You know, I do 80% of my prospecting door to door. There are a lot of businesses, you know, they'll have a storefront. So they're not, you know, say lawn keeping, landscape, um uh what else?
Different um carpentry, things like that they don't have a storefront. So those you have to call. But there again, when you have that piece in front of you, especially now that I've got one done, I think it's going to go over a lot better because I've got it where it's new, you know, the uh my community card where it's got the color and their their name on it. They see the businesses. It makes it so much like, "Hey, this is real."
And they see the quality of businesses that are on there. It's It's a It's It's going to go over a lot better as well. Totally. Gives them It It gives them a lot more confidence to pay you 200 bucks when they see that their friend over here that owns this business and their friend over here that owns this business both joined your card previously. And then another thing No, go ahead.
I was just going to say another thing another Now you can leverage this story about it selling out in 2 hours. Obviously, it's a flex on on on here, but also to the advertisers, it's a great way to add urgency without actually adding urgency cuz a very common question you're going to get Well, I'm sure you got this question is, "How long do I have to decide like before I lose my spot?" And you can say, "Well, I mean, we we do ask for a payment up front to officially claim it. Um just so you're aware, we we sold out within 2 hours last month. So I mean, yeah.
You can, you know, twist twist the words there however you want. But that'll definitely help with the urgency. And it does. They they'll be I've had several like, "Okay. All right, let's And you know, even another suggestion I make, too, is like, you know, if they're worried about, you know, doing this month to month like they're they're locked in every month.
I say, "Hey, just try it 1 month. We'll see how it goes for you. If it's you know, I'll check back with me in a couple weeks to see how it's going. If it's good, we'll get you on the next one. If not, no harm no harm, no foul, you know.
No big deal. You tried it. Now you know." And the cool thing is you're going to know because this so much advertising price now, whatever it may be, isn't trackable. This thing is trackable because the way I set it up, I put a um must present card at time of purchase.
So then they've got to bring this card in. The business owners are like seeing this card coming in. They this is cool. It's It's worth it. Yeah.
Yeah. So how have you followed up with your advertisers since the card has gone out? Have you heard about their results at all? Have you asked? So I'm dying to ask.
I haven't yet because it's only been 2 months or excuse me, 2 weeks. We just went out the first week of March. So what is today? The 17th. Um it hasn't actually I haven't actually called any yet cuz I wanted to give it a little bit of time.
I didn't want to I wanted to call them, you know, the day after it went out, "You getting calls yet?" But I just knew that probably wasn't uh you know, good for time. So I'll probably give it 1 more week and then check in. And And then I'll know who will be on the card for next time. And who I need to then uh you know, go to to add the slots.
Yeah, that's very smart to wait because obviously, so like these offers sometimes people take some time to redeem them. And if you call up the business 3 days later and say, "Hey, did you get any redemptions?" Now the business is thinking to themselves, "Oh, I actually haven't. Maybe this doesn't work." Cuz you just set that expectation in their head.
So it's good that you wait a little bit of time for those redemptions to stack up before you ask them and remind them of it. >> Yeah, you know, like one of the businesses is a lawn mowing business. Well, here where I'm at, that season hasn't quite began yet. You know, but it gets them thinking if they got it on the directory yesterday when that time comes, they can make that call. So um So some of the businesses were a little bit early on on getting that ad out there.
But I think it'll still be very beneficial for them. Yeah. Yeah, definitely. And I mean, the the power of direct mail comes over time. All of your your most successful local businesses are doing direct mail monthly.
And that's why why it works. For sure. So you work a full-time job. You have a family, a daughter, and you're doing this business as well. We could call it a a 1 day a month side hustle for you basically so far at least.
But how much really like brain space and time is this taking up on a day-to-day basis would you say on average? You know, um like I said, the 2 hours that I did selling it, you know, then some you know, work with my daughter as far as the training on the camera. But she she already knew what she was doing there. You know, I I So I'm I don't know if you want me to go into this already, but I'm actually already working on my second card in the second community. Uh my goal is to where I live, it I've got in every direction a town of the same size about 30 minutes away.
And so I'm My goal is to do one of these in in four different communities. I'll I'll prospect 1 day a week. Um and then they'll all go out the 1st of every So my guess is I'll probably be spending about I'd say 10 hours a month. That's kind of what I'm planning. Okay.
Yeah. >> Yeah, that's definitely not not a bad not bad. >> No. No, that's all right. No, this is That's why it's so amazing.
This I'm just so excited about this program. And I'm very thankful that you uh provide the training and the tools to do it. That's what I really did. Thank you. Yeah, it's my pleasure.
This is This gets me so excited. I love seeing people win. So obviously, so you have the second card going. You have the first card that you sent out. Have you started reselling that first card?
Are you simply working on the second card right now? How is How is your day-to-day right now for that? Yeah, that's the biggest thing for me now is trying to uh schedule and how to schedule to make it all flow well. Um so, I'm working on the second card now. Um at the end of this week, then I'll uh see where I'm at with you know, just follow-up calls to see who still wants to be on the card and then anybody that um doesn't fill those spots, which to me is going to be a lot You know, you're going from 16, depending on how many you want to read list, it's just going to be a much easier thing.
And I've got several that already told me they want to be on it every month, so I'm guessing maybe I'll have eight spots instead of 16. That's just a guess, but that's going to be pretty easy. You know, what I'm saying? Is it worth It isn't worth but the time like you said, the return on investment of time is there's not many things you can do like It's not passive by any means, but you can do it from anywhere. Um especially if you're doing it by email or or phone calls, you can do it from anywhere.
You know, depending where you live, you can do it in any community, too, even door-to-door. So, it's just a neat neat opportunity. And that's the unique of the community card is it's a little bit stickier, it's just naturally because you're able to hit them with a lower price point. There's going to be a lot more businesses that are willing to pay $200 a month monthly versus paying $500 a month every single month. So, you you'll retain a lot more month to month.
Yeah, the the the smaller businesses, especially the startups, when you you giving them this price, it's just much more doable than say, you know, I I'm going to I'm actually going to do the 9 by 12 as well. Um I'm going to do that I seasonally, like spring, fall, winter, summer. And those I'll save for the bigger businesses that have more, you know, the furniture stores, uh car car lots, things like that will be better for that bigger side, I believe. Yeah. And you're building a a huge ecosystem with the community cards.
You can make faster relationships, a lot more relationships, and those can be feeders into your 9 by 12 card, which is obviously going to make you more profit. Yes. It's beautiful. I wish I knew about this years ago. So, do you do you see yourself ever ever stopping doing this?
I don't, honestly. I'm 4 years from retirement, and so my plan is this is what I plan to cuz right now my day job gets in the way. I love my day job, too, but it just takes, you know, it takes me 40 plus hours to do that, where this I can do on the side. I can see doing uh this after retirement, um having fun with the just a little extra income. Actually, a lot of extra income to do whatever, you know.
I'm big into real estate, and that's why I'm doing this is to feed those feed those uh down payments. That's the hardest part about real estate is getting the down payment, and this is just a great way to get there. Absolutely. And it's a great way to like, you know, stay young, stay motivated to keep keep doing something and making relationships. Yes, sure.
Yeah. Um so, what would you say is the biggest bottleneck in your relationship I mean >> not in your relationship, in your business right now because you obviously the sales aspect was extremely quick, but there there must be something that's just slowing things down, no? I would say for me it's time. Again, I feel I feel like my day job kind of gets in the way cuz I would love to go do this full time, um but being so close to retirement, I'm not going to quit my day job. So, time would be the biggest thing is just, you know, wanting to do it more and kind of the scheduling, making sure that I line this all up with especially doing four um in front of the communities, keeping that all all online.
But other than that, I mean, you provide so many tools, you know, the CRM, the the new Lead Scout is amazing. Just got that recently, so I'm excited to give that a try. You All the variables that would be making an issue, you take that out of Uh with what you provide as far as educating on tools, all that. Other than that, I just need more time, but that's that's always going to be an issue, if you know what I mean. Yeah, totally.
How how did you go about collecting payments because that's one thing people that you sometimes struggle with. I mean, you sold 16 slots in a day. It must have been somewhat of a mess trying to gather payments from all these people at the same time. Yeah, that's a great question. So, believe it or not, I'm not a big um techy guy.
I have an iPhone, obviously, but never had Venmo, never had Stripe, never had Cash App. I got all three now, and uh they're simple, smooth to use. Um you know, the the first card, you know, I doing it in front of them, maybe I feel a little bit not sure, but after I did a couple, it's super smooth. Um yeah, a lot of people give me checks, and I have a separate account for all this it just goes right into that I'm able to uh then, you know, pay for the printing and um postage. And any other stuff that I might have business-wise, keep it all separate from your You don't want to You don't want to mix your personal with your business, for sure.
Yeah. And I do highly recommend, too, um working on an LLC for the business name and the protection separate protection there. Yeah, I'm not not necessary, you don't have to, but that's I really love doing this, and I'm going to go um I'm all in. Absolutely. Yeah, I usually say, you know, validate it for a month, and then if it's if it's a go and you're going to do this long term, then definitely get that legal protection from the LLC.
So, oh yeah. So, before Lead Scout, how did you go about finding figure deciding on what businesses you were going to visit? Yeah, uh so, going door-to-door, uh like I said, what I'm doing is basically just driving streets looking for businesses um that I think would be a good fit, ones I believe in. other than that, at at the moment, the the thing is there's so many businesses that don't have a storefront that I don't know contact information. So, my plan was to do Google, find find them on Facebook, I'll see a lot of billboards, uh cork boards, you know, with business cards stuffed through them, things like that, which are all good, but after seeing this uh Lead Scout, um it just makes it so simple.
Like, literally, you punch in the zip code, whatever type of business you're looking and it'll give you the list with everything on it. And then the cool thing, too, is this whole um routing, literally tell you where to go, which is a neat tool as well to save time and trying to figure out where everything's at. It's It's very Can I Can I hire you to be the salesperson for that tool cuz you do a great Hey, I you know, [clears throat] I it's easy to sell cuz like I said, and then I don't know, my my opinion of price is very reasonable for everything you get with it. Um it's not like it's even a subscription, it's a one-time deal. You have it forever.
I mean, there again, I mean I mean to keep bragging you up, but you've really got a great thing going here, and and uh anybody on this this team, I just want to encourage them to really jump in and give it your give it your all. Have the confidence. The product we're selling here is such a good one. You you can usually feel confident about it and know that your customers And if you get a few no's, just shake that off. That's not a not a game changer.
Doesn't mean you're not doing what you're supposed to be It just might not be for them at the time. Maybe the next month they will be. We don't know their situation, so I would always follow up. That's That's my key selling point. Yeah, I love it.
And so, for I want you to talk to two particular people right now. Yeah. First first person I want you to talk to is this is their first video ever watched about the 9 by 12 method or the community card in general, selling selling slots on postcards. What would you tell them to do after this first video? Yeah, I would definitely look at is this video going to be in the course or this is on YouTube?
This is on YouTube, yeah. Okay. So, my recommendation, what I would do uh sign up for the course, the 9 by 12 method course, because it has everything in there that you need to learn how to do this. Once you feel comfortable with that, and and try to pull that in as as quick as possible so you can start getting out there and not give yourself excuses for not doing it. You know, the way to get it done is just to jump in headfirst and give it your I would start looking at businesses, you know, things that I'm making a list of businesses that make sense for you to go talk to, and then just once you have go out and start talking to them.
You know, the idea is just to share what you have to offer, and I think once you do that, you'll you'll you'll be shocked to see how many people be signing up for you. And I And I, you know, I do recommend, and that's what I did is with the community card if you start off, that helped build my confidence. Those uh smaller price point uh slots are a lot easier to sell. That gave me the confidence that I'm ready to go try the bigger ones. Absolutely.
I'm actually releasing a video in a few days about how I think people should start with the community card. I've officially decided. So, you've been you've been proof of that. Yeah. So, a lot of people have these excuses in their head like, I work a full-time job, I don't have time to do this, I don't have sales skills, I'm not going to be able to sell slots and charge people $200 but obviously you've got a full-time job, you've got a family, you have no sales skills.
Obviously, you've got the looks going for you, which might help a little bit, but Thanks, Mitch. Yeah, of course. So, the second person that I want you to speak to right now is the people who have been watching a ton of my videos, or maybe they already did join the community, they went through the course, they know exactly what to do step by step in the simplest terms, but for some reason they're frozen. They're frozen because they they feel unconfident or they have those similar excuses that I talked about. What do you have to say to them?
No, that's a great point, Mitch. And and I I have been that person, honestly. Cuz it is. It's like you you feel like you're not ready, so you do another video, and you just keep going through videos and try to learn more. But comes a point where you have to just jump all Um analysis is a real thing.
Like, you're thinking overthinking things. It's just taking that one step, getting that one sale. And honestly, you will not believe how good it feels to get that. Once you get rolling, there's no stopping. You know, um I I I can't wait to get out there again.
I got to wait until my next day off, you know, to start prospecting again. Um Cuz it does it makes you feel good. Not making the, you know, the sale and the money, but you truly are helping people. You know, the the businesses and the customers, they want to get something in there. Just to show people what they're advertising.
So many businesses where I've heard that their their customers didn't even know they were there. So by doing this, it's it's communication to let them know they're And the and the community absolutely loves it. Who does not love a good deal? They Exactly. I love a good deal, you know what I'm saying?
So when you put a good deal off this form, it just brings all three of us together in a great way. Unity working together. Everybody benefits from it. So when you look at it like that, it makes you feel good. Just take that next step.
I promise you you won't you won't regret it. Absolutely. It makes it a whole lot easier to sell when you when you truly believe in your product. For sure. Yeah.
So you're obviously very passionate about this business and you've been very successful pretty quickly. So where do you see your business being a year from now? Yeah, like I mentioned earlier, I really perceive the ease of these uh community cards. My plan is to get four uh different communities uh within 30 miles from me. And uh basically working on one of these and then um doing a seasonal 9 by 12 card.
And so yeah, I I really just from the response that I've gotten, I think this is going to go over really well. And um yeah, a year from now I'm hoping to be uh have all all four cards, uh community cards and then the 9 by 12 uh bigger card going as well. Yep. Awesome. Well, I'd love to to have a update interview in about a year when you have a whole empire going on over there.
That'd be great. And I'll even take it a step further. If we're looking a year out, I've got two other kids, so three kids total. They're all adults. Um I want to I want to teach them how to do this what I learned from you, share this with them.
Cuz I think it would be great for them to have extra income to help uh get them where they want to go with their days. Absolutely. And it's great for taxes. Absolutely, yes. So if I could erase if I erased this whole podcast right now and you had 30 seconds to talk to the world about the community card and we ended on that, what would you say in those 30 seconds?
Yeah, you bet. So I just highly recommend um this is a a great, I don't know if you want to call it a side hustle, you call it what you know, but it's a great way to help improve uh your life uh whether it be financially, with confidence, um with free freedom of time. Uh there's so many things that you can do with this uh that way. But it's I'm just a I I I look at a lot of different things, trust me. I'm always looking at different ways to do passive income or side hustles and this is by far the best I've ever seen.
And uh so rewarding as well. And highly recommend you go into the 9 by 12 monthly program with Mitch. Uh very easy to learn through him. He's the group is very supportive. Uh the tools he provides too, you can't beat it.
So thumbs up to Mitch with what he's got going on. I appreciate that. And I appreciate you coming on here. I think people have a a ton of notes now and I hope that they're ready to officially get started, anybody who's been on the sidelines. It's it's been an honor to have you on here.
