Mitchell explains how one shared 9x12 postcard makes money: 16 local businesses pay $500 each for a slot, and the card mails to 5,000 homes in their town.
Key takeaways
- Mitchell sold out one card in his first month, two in his second month, and three in his third, all in towns near him.
- Businesses already spending thousands on mail marketing get a cheaper option by splitting one card with non-competing businesses at about 10 cents per door.
- Reach out by email, Facebook Messenger, or phone and simply ask if they want to be featured on a postcard going to 5,000 local doors.
- You collect $8,000 from 16 advertisers before paying for anything, then place their ads on the template and send it to the printer.

These postcards right here changed my life financially and they can change yours. And no, I'm not going to promise you a million dollars or a yacht or fancy $10,000 a night hotels. But what this did for me, this created freedom. This gave me the freedom to build something, to build a life where I want to work, when I want to work, and to make a decent income while doing it. One of these postcards makes me $5,000.
I sold it out within one month. My first time ever doing it. I sold two postcards out my second month and made $10,000. And then my third month ever doing it, I sold out three, made $15,000 all just in the towns surrounding me. Now, let me explain.
This is a 9 by12 inch postcard. It's a large oversized postcard and we're helping businesses split the cost of marketing. There's already businesses out there that do mail marketing. They spend thousands of dollars every single month. We're giving them a cheaper alternative because they're splitting with non-competing businesses.
So, they pay us $500 for a slot on the card and there's 16 slots on the card. Now, $500 sounds like a lot, but to a business, that's not all that much, especially when they're already paying thousands for mail marketing. It's just 10 cents per door. So, we have 16 slots times $500. We're collecting $8,000 upfront before doing anything, just by reaching out to local businesses over email and Facebook Messenger and phone calls if we feel like it, saying, "Hey, I'm sending out a postcard to 5,000 doors in our local town.
Is this something you want to be featured on for your business?" Of course, they're going to say yes, and then you tell them the price. Some people say no, and some people say yes. As simple as that. Once they say yes, they're going to give you their ad or you're going to design it for them.
It's very simple. And then you're going to put it on the template and then you're going to send it to the printing company. The printing company's going to charge you $3,000. Remember, this is after you collected $8,000 upfront from all of the businesses to pay for it. The printing company's going to charge you $3,000 to print and mail these postcards to the US Postal Service.
That includes postage. So, that's your final cost. And the USPS will handle it from there. So, at the end of the day, you're left with $5,000 in profit at the end of the month just by reaching out to local businesses and asking if they want to be part of this co-op card. I'm telling you, this has changed so many lives.
This person sold out a card and made $5,000. This person sold out a card and made $5,000. This person sold out a card and made $5,000. And this person sold out a card and made $5,000. And I can do that forever.
